These guys are all over the country. It's a great way to pray for each other. We have guys praying for each other, connecting each other, sharing truth with each other. Be a part of that every Thursday as well as, you know, if you feel like you're in your journey as a child of God, hey, I don't know where I'm at. I want to grow. I want to be challenged in my faith or I want to know, hey, I'm on the right track. We have the thing for you. It's called the Wake Up Guide and seven day Reset. You can click that link below. It's free for you. We developed it just for you because we want men to understand their value and kind of where they are in the journey. Final thing, we have a new Known Legacy brotherhood. Brotherhood on the newest format called Facebook that if you haven't been on that yet, we'd love you to be there. We'll put a link below for you to join that as well. We just share in encouragement versus where we are in our journey each week, and we'd love you to be a part of that as well and then keep you up to date with what's going on in our community every month. So, guys, great to have you on Travis. It's good to see your face in this rainy. [00:02:12] Speaker D: It's good. And Kyle in the corner, thank you very much for producing again today. [00:02:16] Speaker E: Of course. [00:02:17] Speaker D: And I'm excited about our guest. Very much so. And so before we get there, question of the day. [00:02:23] Speaker C: Question of the day. I took a sip, Right? You threw me off. [00:02:28] Speaker D: So as we encourage you to wake up, gear up, and come alive, here's the question today. If you had to live in any time period in human history, what time period would you be transported back to through your wardrobe of Narnia and have to live? What would you be Wardrobe? Where would you go? What would you do? You go. [00:02:49] Speaker C: You start. [00:02:50] Speaker E: Oh, okay. I'm gonna cop out a little bit. I think I would stay where I was. [00:02:57] Speaker D: Oh. It's fair. [00:03:00] Speaker C: I didn't. [00:03:00] Speaker D: I didn't exclude it. It's good. It's in the rules, I'll tell you. [00:03:03] Speaker E: Because I think growing up in the 70s and 80s was the best time to grow up. [00:03:08] Speaker A: Okay. [00:03:09] Speaker E: And then we also get the benefits of the current technology now. Right. [00:03:16] Speaker C: Okay. [00:03:16] Speaker E: So I feel like I got. I'm really happy with. [00:03:20] Speaker C: With where you are. [00:03:21] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:03:21] Speaker D: Okay. [00:03:22] Speaker E: If I had to pick one that wasn't, I would probably say I'm a big World War II buff. [00:03:28] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:03:28] Speaker E: So I'd probably pick. Pick that. [00:03:31] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:03:31] Speaker D: Yeah. I love it. I love it. I love it. I'd go 50s, I think. The. The. And I know that our culture had issues and challenges and problems. [00:03:38] Speaker C: Absolutely. [00:03:39] Speaker D: I am fully well aware of that. But I just think the cars were gorgeous. They had color. Have you noticed that every car on the road is a black, gray, or white or some shade of gray? [00:03:49] Speaker C: Yes. [00:03:50] Speaker D: It is the most frustrating thing. There was color, there was excitement. There was good, you know, the curb feelers there. Yes. But anyways, I like it, but no, it's. I would go back to the 50s, you know, when food was real and, you know, the family unit was still kind of the family unit, and we were figuring out some of the big stuff for our culture, and I'd go there. What about you, Bill? [00:04:14] Speaker C: Well, it's funny because we talked about it because of that. That show with James Franco in it that has, like, the 1122, like, the assassination, Kennedy, like I said. And that era is really cool, but I keep going back to like, like the 80s. I don't know why. Like the 80s. It's just kind of a cool. I mean, I guess it was just fun. You didn't know what you didn't know, I guess at the time. And not everyone could get a hold of everybody, you know, I remember seeing this reel and some girls, like, it's like, wait a minute. So you just went outside all day? [00:04:44] Speaker D: Yes. [00:04:45] Speaker C: And your parents. Yeah, because we weren't idiots. Right. Like, we know how to handle ourselves. I don't know. There's just something different about that freedom, that fun, all that kind of stuff. [00:04:52] Speaker D: I like to notice that no one went before 1950, which means we all love our indoor plumbing. We all love our electronic electricity and air conditioning. So, yes, Those are fantastic. [00:05:03] Speaker C: Those are really nice. [00:05:04] Speaker D: By the way, how do we not have multiple statues to courier. Not carrier. Carrier. Carrier. The guy who invented air conditioning. [00:05:10] Speaker C: I know. [00:05:10] Speaker D: What's that under nation? I think in the south, every town should have a statue to the man that gave us air conditioning. [00:05:16] Speaker C: I guess I didn't realize he was the one who invented it. That's kind of cool. [00:05:18] Speaker D: Carrier. [00:05:19] Speaker C: That's really neat. So I am grateful because when it goes out, I am super, super ungrateful, especially in this. This heat. But today's a perfect day. It's nice. It's like 70 out. [00:05:28] Speaker D: I love it. [00:05:28] Speaker C: It's like a perfect day. But, you know, we're so glad to have you guys here. We have a guest with us. Lauren, why don't you pop on? Great to have you on here, sir. [00:05:37] Speaker A: Nice to be here, man. [00:05:39] Speaker D: And we. [00:05:39] Speaker C: It's funny, I had an interesting story. I had a friend of mine, Chad Matson from Unspoken, who was like, you got to have this guy. [00:05:44] Speaker D: Name drop, by the way. [00:05:45] Speaker C: Yes, I know. It's so great. And he was like, you got to have Lauren on. I mean, if there's. If you can fit him in. So we wanted to check it out because he said his story is powerful and would be an encouragement to our listeners. So, Chad, thanks for the. For the. For the recommendation, Lauren. Great to have you on. Share a little bit about who you are. But before that, answer the question of. The question of the day would be, what. What era would you go to if you could. Or whatever time period in life? [00:06:10] Speaker A: Well, when I thought about it, when you guys were talking and, you know, I'm a World War II buff, too, but it would be interesting if you could go way back and be there when Shadrach Meshach and Abednego were talking about going in the furnace. Like, imagine being there and like the three of us, like, okay, we probably ought to go in there. [00:06:37] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. [00:06:39] Speaker A: I mean, that had to be an interesting conversation. [00:06:41] Speaker C: You can only imagine what, what, what transpired. And then all of a sudden, Daniel, like, where were are you, man? What's going on? What's up here? They built the whole statue. What were you traveling? I know what happened here. That's great. Well, Lauren, share a little about your story with our listeners, who you are, and kind of all the way down to door dash kind of thing. Because, man, as I heard it was defined as g. The, the door dashing for Jesus. And so share a little about your story, your, your, your kind of background and then how you got to the door dash situation. [00:07:14] Speaker A: Well, it's interesting. I was, I'm a serial entrepreneur. I started selling life insurance in 1979 when I was 19 years old. And my life kind of had ups and downs and twists and turns, but accepted Christ in college. The six months I went to college, college, accepted Christ and, and then got married and had started having some kids and had, you know, got in my, in my head and out of my heart and, you know, became one of those perennial backsliders. And you know, every few years, like a lot of us, I'd be going to church and then, you know, something would happen. And yeah, I just found myself kind of on and off, on and off, which probably a lot of people can relate to. Anyway, I had about 1996, I got in a horrible head on car accident and wound up with four artificial body parts. Wow. And then two, two years later, my brother dropped dead of a heart attack. And through all this, God never got my attention. Two years later, my brother dropped out of a heart attack. And then two years after that, my father took his own life with a handgun. Oh. And so my last memory of my father was identifying his body with obviously severe, you know, facial disfigurement. And it just spun me out. And so for 15, 20 years, I just kind of existed and just didn't care. And so fast forward, a buddy of mine lived, I was out in Oregon at the time. He lived in North Carolina. And he wanted to, he, he knew I was a writer and he asked me if I would write a book for him, you know, kind of about his life. And I said, well, what are we going to write about? He said, I don't know. And he had, he has since passed, but he had bleeding ulcers and so you know, me knowing enough about the Bible and the blood of Jesus and he was a Catholic. I said, well, his name was Pat. I said, pat, why don't we write the book about fixing the leaks in your life because you're bleeding to death and dying from the inside out. And how many people. When you think about like a leak under your sink, you know, it doesn't make much difference for the first hour, but if you let it keep leaking, you're going to get dry rot and eventually it'll affect your whole house. And that's what affects our lives if we don't fix the leaks and the blood of Jesus fixes those leaks. And he was like, well, that sounds cool. And so I start writing the book. Well, he gets life flighted. I'm being a total hypocrite, you know, I'm writing a book about the blood of Jesus, not walking with the Lord. He gets life flighted from North Carolina to South Carolina, gets his last right, is in bad shape. And his wife was staying with him in the hotel or in the hospital. And I was in a hotel across the street. So I went back to my room that night and he was still alive. And I, you know, I walked in, it was like a holiday express or something. And I poured myself a drink and you know, just vodka on the rocks. And you know, I was gonna start writing, you know, and I got this horrible taste in my mouth and it was, I was gagging, it was terrible. So I went in the bathroom, hotel room, and I thought, well, I'll brush my teeth, you know, brush that taste out of my mouth. And as I brush my teeth and my tongue, I started gagging and I coughed up like a golf ball sized thing of blood. And I looked at it and I looked in the mirror and I was like, I didn't even recognize myself. And I thought, oh my goodness, I'm having a heart attack like my brother. And so I kind of wall walked back to the bed of the hotel room and sat down on the bed. And I didn't know if I was going to fall forward on my face or fall back on the bed. And I heard a voice. And no one will ever, ever convince me. I heard that inaudible voice. And he said, are you ready to come home and get to work? And I changed in an instant. And I said yes. I didn't even hesitate. And the funny thing is, if you are a backslider and you go in a hotel room, you always know there's a Gideon Bible by the bed. And I would always never open that drawer because I knew there was a Bible and I was convicted every time, man, I couldn't get that drawer open fast enough. Got the Bible out, started reading the Book of John. Haven't stopped since. So my buddy lived. We went back to North Carolina. They were pretty bad shape, him and his wife. And so I said, I will put the book on hold and I'll start becoming an Uber driver. This is where this gets confusing. And so I took all the tests to become an Uber driver and at the very last one, you have to learn how to clean up vomit. And I was like, I'm not going to do that. So I'm in a men's Bible study by now. I'm going to a non denominational church. I'm on fire for the Lord. And these guys got a kick out of me. And one of, one of the guys said, how's the Uber driver going? So I'm not gonna do it. And they said, why? And I explained it. And that guy said, well, what about doordash? And I said, I said, I've ordered it before. He said, you can doordash whenever you want. You make decent money. And then you can take your friends to their hospital appointments or doctor's appointment because they had a lot of them. [00:13:55] Speaker D: Right, right. [00:13:56] Speaker A: Well, I'll give it a shot. So I did it and I kind of liked it. And I did about 600 of them. And I was just, you know, I'm sitting in my car all day reading the bible, listening to YouTube sermon worship music. You know, this was perfect for, for me. And one day I delivered a prescription. I'll never forget her name. Her name was Mary Ramos. And. And it was in a trailer park that was pretty sketchy. And I have to go up to the door and hand her the prescription. And when she came to the door, this woman was maybe five feet tall. I'm six five. And she was so sick. And she was like gray. And right then, that voice again, the Holy Spirit said, why don't you pray for her? And I was like, okay. And I'm like, you know, shaking like a leaf. [00:14:55] Speaker D: Yes, yes, I know that feeling. [00:14:57] Speaker A: I said, I said, Mrs. Ramos, I'm a Christ follower. Could I pray for you? And she started crying and she said, absolutely. And, and I didn't even plan it, but boy, I brought the rain. And it was amazing and it was so cool. And when I got back in the car, I sat down and I realized when I was in that hotel room, and the Holy Spirit said, are you ready to come home and get to work? I didn't realize that getting to work I was going to be doordashing for Jesus. [00:15:37] Speaker D: Yes. [00:15:38] Speaker A: And I went on to do 5,000 DoorDashes and I started every single person I delivered food to. What can I pray for you today? And, and surprisingly, most of the people had something that they wanted me to pray for him for. All of a sudden people started rededicating their life to Christ. Inviting me in the house and accepting Christ, it was the most incredible thing. And so one day I'm at church and the pastor waves me over. I didn't really know the guy. It was about 1500 people at the church. So, you know, it's not that easy to get to know him. And he says, hey, come here, will you? And I come over and he goes, do you drive a white Prius? I thought, yeah, I did. I thought, what did I do now? Are you, are you by chance the door dash for Jesus God? Well, yeah, I guess I am, I am. And he goes, you know, the funny thing is after church I always greet the new people. And he said, pretty much every other person I've met the last four or five months, tell me about our church through the doordash guy. [00:17:02] Speaker D: Stop it, stop it. [00:17:06] Speaker A: And he said, but here's the crazy thing. Last week I had a couple that said. I asked him, how did you hear about us? And they said, well, our neighbor told us about the church because they heard about it from the doordash. You're getting second generation people. [00:17:28] Speaker C: Wow. Wow, I love this. Go for it. [00:17:32] Speaker D: You want to say something? I was just going to say, you know, typically we have tons of follow up questions, but I think this story just stands for its own and the fact that here's a guy who's coming in serving and God redeems it. And then like we have this false attitude in our lives that if I'm going to serve God, it's got to be in this huge, big, impactful stage, lights all of this stuff. And God's like in this little story, like, no, no, no, no, just be [00:17:59] Speaker C: faithful, just be faithful. [00:18:00] Speaker D: And then when I ask, respond, pray and watch what I am doing. Because it's all up to God anyways. He's the one doing all the work. And what a encouraging, beautiful story of like, gentlemen, if you're listening to this, it doesn't have to be these really big bodacious things that God shows up not just in the fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Yeah, God shows up in the little thing where he's like, I'm not just. It just. It's so beautiful and so enc. It's. It's huge. [00:18:30] Speaker C: So let me ask you. As you were going through this, when you said, man, God has this thing for me, did you ever compute the two? Or did you. Were you still kind of waiting for the big thing for God to use you, or. [00:18:40] Speaker A: No, no. Just kind of say, I was the happiest guy in the world. [00:18:46] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:18:47] Speaker A: Everyone thought I was nuts. [00:18:50] Speaker D: Following Jesus often allows other people to think you're crazy. Yeah, that's what happens. [00:18:55] Speaker C: That's true. [00:18:56] Speaker A: Well, the pastor called me in, and one day, and he said, you do realize you have the gift of evangelism? And I was like, no, I never even gave it a second thought. He goes, well, he said, not many people want to go out and get the whole world saved, and God gives people special gifts. And so, anyway, I had started a beach prayer walk where I would just walk up, as one does, ask people, you know what? Can I pray for you today? And. And eventually people started hearing about. It was kind of like a Forrest Gump thing, where people started joining me. So we're walking up and down the beach, and I have all these people. So I thought, you know, I'll get some T shirts made. So I got these T shirts that say, can I pray for you? All right. And so this is the greatest story. I go to this T shirt shop on the beach in North Carolina, and this guy is just a crusty old guy, and every other word's an expletive. And I said, I want to get some T shirts made. And he goes, well, what do you want on them? I said, I want to have. Can I pray for you? And he's like, you serious? And I said, yeah, I'm serious. And he goes, well, you're gonna have to pay for them up front, because if you don't pick these up, no one's ever going to want to buy these. [00:20:21] Speaker C: So. [00:20:22] Speaker D: So he's a prophet. He's a prophet. [00:20:24] Speaker C: Yeah, exactly. [00:20:24] Speaker A: Yeah. So I paid for the shirt. And he. I said, how long will it be? He said, oh, three or four weeks. I'll. I'll call you and let you know. And I'm like, okay, thanks. Three days go by. Three days. And I'm like, literally three or four blocks from this place. I get a phone call, and it's him. And he goes, hey, your shirts are ready. You want to come get them? And I said, yeah, I'm really Close. So I go to get the shirts, and I get them. They look great. I have them three different colors. And I said, hey, I want to try one on, see how they look. And so I took off my shirt, put it on. It looked great. I said, hey, I'm just gonna wear it. And I picked up the box. I said, well, I guess that's it, you know. Thank you. And I picked up the box, and I turned to walk out, and he goes, hey, aren't you gonna pray for me? [00:21:17] Speaker C: Yes. [00:21:17] Speaker D: Yes. [00:21:18] Speaker A: And I said his name was Dave. I said, well, yeah, I'll pray for you, Dave. What do you want to pray about? He goes, I don't know. You're the Christian. And I said, well, have you ever heard the gospel? And seriously, 15 minutes later, this guy accepted Christ. Christ. [00:21:36] Speaker C: Stop it. [00:21:37] Speaker A: No, I'm not kidding you. [00:21:39] Speaker C: That's amazing. [00:21:40] Speaker A: And, and it's. I always tell people, if you pray, give me ears to hear, eyes to see, and the words to say, if you don't look, you'll miss them. But God, people in front of all of us. And I just continually. Like, my wife, she's used to me because she knows when I go to a restaurant, within a half hour, I'm going to be at someone's else's table sharing the gospel. [00:22:12] Speaker C: You'll be leading someone to Jesus. That's awesome. [00:22:15] Speaker A: And, and I just look for the bridge. I, I. You know, Paul, First Corinthians, 9:19, said, if I'm with Jews, I act like a Jew. If I'm with people with the law, I act like I'm in the law. If, if they're out of the law, I act like I'm out of the law. I never forget who I am in Christ. Because he said, I want to connect with people. Yeah, I want to be in on the action. And, you know, for me, it's, it's kind of. I was telling Bill earlier or yesterday, I'm just the happiest guy in the world. Doordash for Jesus. And one morning I'm praying, and the Holy Spirit said, you need to write a book on AI. And I'm like, AI, like artificial intelligence. I never used it. This is like three years ago. And, yeah, write a book on AI. So I wrote my first book on AI, called AI Careful Thinking. And then I wrote a second book called the Tower and the cross, navigating AI's rise with biblical Wisdom. And I just finished my third book called the AI Safe Home, because I, I was working with Christian radio stations, teaching them how to use AI ethically, [00:23:36] Speaker C: biblically, again, as one does. [00:23:39] Speaker A: The Holy Spirit said it's the parents and the children, because kids have no discernment. And AI is really scary. And so. And. And that's kind of how I met chad and Kelly McAndrew, who you've had on the show. And those guys are amazing. They are no nonsense guys. They love the Lord, they love the Word, and they love to pray. [00:24:13] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:24:14] Speaker A: And when I first met with Kelly, he's the one that said, you need to set this up as a non profit because people will want to support this and you need to, you know, seriously upgrade all your videos, all your materials, which, you know, they're helping me with that now. And I now take my evangelism to the parents to talk to both and seniors too, because, yeah, people. People are going to get seriously misled by this stuff. And if they don't know what they don't know. [00:24:54] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:24:55] Speaker A: You know, that's what the enemy relies on. So. [00:24:58] Speaker C: Absolutely. [00:24:59] Speaker A: I still, every chance I get, I'm sharing my faith with people and. And I'll share one kind of funny one that happened just this week. We got a barbecue, okay. And the guy that delivered it was really overweight and really unhealthy. And I helped him unload it. I don't know how he was going to unload it without getting help, but when we got done, he had on gloves. And I'm like, I'm gonna share my faith with this guy. And so I said, I'm a Christ follower. Are you? And he's like, well, yeah, not really. I'm. You know. And I said, hey, can I borrow one of your gloves? And he looks at me like, what in the world for? I said, well, let me see the glove. And so he hands me his glove. And I said, see this glove? If it's just hanging here in my hand, it's pretty much worthless, isn't it? He goes, yeah. I said, but if I put my hand in the glove, all of a sudden it's an incredibly valuable tool. And. And. And he's like, yeah, yeah. I said, that's what being filled with the Holy Spirit and accepting Jesus Christ, your savior, is all about. I said, are you ready to put on the glove? And he goes, I am. I shared the gospel and I always say to people, if you don't think you need a savior, this is just a lot of fun. But this doesn't make any sense. Yeah, you don't believe you need a savior. And he said, I do. And so I took him through the prayer, he accepted Christ. You know what he said? He goes, this is the greatest day of my life. [00:26:43] Speaker D: Amen. [00:26:46] Speaker A: I was delivering this barbecue to you today. I always tell people, there's so many people out there. If. And, and here's the easiest thing. Hey, what can I pray for you today? [00:27:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:27:01] Speaker A: And I don't say I'm a Christian. I don't say anything. I just say, what can I pray for you today? When my wife went in for a medical procedure and she knows I do this, I'm. It's 6:30 in the morning, I've got 15, 20 people in the lobby of the hospital and everyone's going in for medical procedures. And she looks back at me, she knew what I was gonna do. She went in the door, I said, hey, my wife's going in for a procedure and I'm about to pray for her. I know all you have people in there who wants to join me in prayer. Every single person came over. [00:27:38] Speaker D: So beautiful. [00:27:39] Speaker C: Love it. [00:27:40] Speaker A: I just like, let's just rock and roll. Because I get so jacked up on Jesus, I can't hardly stand it. [00:27:47] Speaker C: So I, I love this. I love this. Lauren, could you. Because I don't feel like we need to add a lot, but I would, I'd love some encouragement. This has been awesome. I'm so glad that I just have [00:27:56] Speaker D: a dumb smile on my face. [00:27:57] Speaker C: I know this is so cool, you [00:27:58] Speaker D: know, but all from bad tasting vodka. [00:28:00] Speaker C: Let's not exactly, exactly. I know, but man, could you do me a favor? And, and just to the, to the believer who's stuck, to the believer who feels like they don't have much to offer and they've kind of lost their way, speak to them right now. If you, if you had them in front of you, what would you say to them as those who are followers Jesus? Because a lot of people who listen to this are followers of Jesus. They want to get encouraged, share, because some of them are just in the journey, but they don't know what they're doing. And I really believe that you have a very simple response to that. But could you share with those guys right now for those who, who, who are listening? [00:28:35] Speaker A: Well, I always say to people, just the next person you see, say, what can I pray for you for today? And you'll be amazed. And, and the more that you do that, the more boldness you get. And, and I always say, because I used to sit in my car and you know, I'd be praying and Holy Spirit, I'd say, you know, I'D always had this prayer, you know, give me the boldness of Stephen the Martyr. And one day the Holy Spirit said, why don't you just pray for love? Because there's no fear in love. And so I started just saying, you know, fill me with your. Your love. And. And Jesus came to value and serve people. And he came. In other words, he came to help us. [00:29:26] Speaker C: Yes. [00:29:26] Speaker A: And there's nothing that you can do for people more in terms of helping them than just saying, hey, if. Is there anything going on in your life I can pray for you for? And you'd be amazed how many times people go, well, actually, my nephew just got diagnosed with. With cancer, or my brother just got in a car accident, or I'm getting a new job. And then it just becomes addictive. Because all of a sudden people are like, so are you a Christian? And I'm like, a matter of fact, I am. And I've had. I've had. I do deliveries when I was doordashing for Jesus in vape shops, and there's always people with nose rings, Satanic symbols. I'll never forget. I had a guy who's a Satan worshiper, and I would tell him, you know, I'm praying for you. And he would always cuss at me and tell me, you know, just leave my food and get the you know what out of here. And I'm like, you got it, baby. I'm gonna keep praying for you. So this guy and I have this picture, his name's dj. A year later, I am in a gas station, a Circle K gas station. I'm getting gas, and I hear, hey, Doordash for Jesus guy. Turn around, it's him. I'm thinking, okay, this guy's gonna shoot me. Yes. [00:30:50] Speaker D: Yes. [00:30:51] Speaker A: He comes walking over and he said, hey, I think I'm ready to meet your friend Jesus. [00:30:58] Speaker D: Stop it. [00:31:00] Speaker A: He accepted Christ in a Circle Cape parking lot at a gas station. And I always tell people, plant the seeds. Plant the seeds. When you pray with people, you're planting a seed, and Apollo's waters it. God grows it. Just plant the seed. And if you start planting seeds, you'll be amazed at how much you will come alive in the Lord. And it's not hard to do. People think, I gotta. I gotta, I. They're gonna ask me questions that I can't answer. No, they're not. If you say, hey, can I pray for you? And someone goes, yeah, you can pray for me. And I love this. And it's like, what are we praying about? I always say that well, what are we praying about today? And they'll say, and I'll say, what's your name? And, and, and they'll say, my brothers, like, what's your brother's name? And. And that begins that connection. And when I pray for him, it's easy to remember two names. Yeah. And when I pray for him and when you're done, they go, well, thank you. And then I say, you know, are you a Christ follower? Do you have a relationship with Jesus? And I can't begin to tell you how many times people say, yes, but. And when they say, yes, but you know what I say? Today is the day that you could rededicate your life to Christ. Would you like to pray that? And people go, what do I have to do to do that? And that's simple. It's like, well, let's just talk to God right now and tell him you want to read that? And. And they're like, okay. I said, I'll pray. You pray after me. And it's. [00:32:40] Speaker C: Man, I love this, Lauren. I love it, I love it. You know, I wish we had some more time, but man, this has been so life giving. [00:32:48] Speaker D: You imagine, could you imagine just if 25% of Christendom in North America today took on the posture of saying we are just going to be released into the culture to anyone we connect with, just ask a simple question. How can I pray for you? Yeah, how can I pray for you? Yeah, dude, it would. The spirit. This is not a flesh and blood issue. This is a spiritual issue. And the prayer is the spiritual ground that Jesus and the Spirit does amazing work. And that. Dude, like I said, I just have a stupid grin on my face right now. [00:33:19] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:33:20] Speaker D: Because this has been one of the most encouraging and just life giving podcasts because it's so. First off, it's simple. God chose fishermen. God likes simplicity because he knows that we like to overcomplicate and we make things entirely too tough. Just go and serve, man. Gentlemen, do it. Yeah, you know, yeah, maybe start with your wife and just get comfortable asking your wife every day. Hey, how can I pray for you today? Do it with your kids. Hey, how can I pray for you today as you go off into school, whatever it is, start at home and then see what God does as he begins to expand that posture beyond. Oh my gosh, Lauren, you. Yes. [00:33:58] Speaker C: This is more, more. [00:34:00] Speaker D: We need more of that in our culture. [00:34:02] Speaker C: Lauren, we're going to have you on again. I would love this. But I think, I think the biggest thing to take away from today, guys, is in your journey. Just start, just get started and it's that simple. Lauren, thank you for your faithfulness to be that simple to go, can I pray for you and then see what happens? And the spirit works. I think sometimes we just don't know where to get started and I think that's a great way to get started. So, Lauren, thank you for your faithfulness in what you're doing. Thank you for your faithfulness to continue in that we will have you on again because we just need another shot of Lauren at some point in our day. [00:34:34] Speaker D: The latest stories of salvation through the work of the spirit, through Lauren. [00:34:38] Speaker C: Lauren. Oh, I love it. I love it. Well, brother man, this has been life giving. As, as we finish up, we have a segment called Fast5. Are you ready for that, sir? [00:34:47] Speaker D: I feel like this is gonna be a letdown, but let's see where it goes. Kind of feels like it's gonna be [00:34:51] Speaker C: a letdown compared to what I heard, but. All right, Lauren, if you could tell people to go support a cause or a ministry, what would it be? [00:34:57] Speaker A: Well, selfishly, you know, mine is the AI Safe foundation, but Soldiers for Faith. Yes, yes. So good for faith. I, I, I never miss that. That is an amazing ministry. So, yes, yes, I would say Soldiers for Faith is definitely incredible. [00:35:22] Speaker C: Yeah, no, it's awesome. [00:35:24] Speaker A: Worth supporting, like amazing. [00:35:27] Speaker C: You know, because that's where our Bible study is derived from, is Soldiers for Faith. We partnered with them on our, our Thursday morning at 6:45. Again, adrenaline. Adrenaline shot. Lauren. Lauren is the gallon today. Yes. [00:35:42] Speaker D: Bill and I are like little, little teaspoons. [00:35:45] Speaker A: There you go. [00:35:46] Speaker D: And Lauren's like, here's the waterfall. [00:35:48] Speaker C: Let's go. So, Lauren, if you could describe legacy with one word or phrase, what would it be? [00:35:56] Speaker A: Planting seeds. [00:35:58] Speaker C: Planting seeds. [00:35:59] Speaker D: Perfect. [00:35:59] Speaker C: I love it. I love it, I love it. All right, number three, if you had to change careers, what would you change it to? And I don't know what you would ask about this, but if you could, what would you change it to? [00:36:09] Speaker A: I would be a full time evangelist, but I guess I am. [00:36:13] Speaker D: I think you are. [00:36:14] Speaker C: You already are, but I, yeah, I get it. [00:36:16] Speaker D: You're living exactly where God planted you and you're being faithful. [00:36:20] Speaker C: Yes. It's amazing. I love this. [00:36:22] Speaker D: So many of the things that we talk about are being lived out by you. And just, man, just. Thank you. What a great picture of the simplicity of just being faithful, you know? [00:36:32] Speaker C: And if you guys are listening to this on Spotify, you got to go to our YouTube channel because I want you to See Lauren's face of how excited he is with this. Like he is alive. [00:36:41] Speaker D: And the perfectly placed fan above his head. [00:36:44] Speaker C: Yes. Is perfect. [00:36:45] Speaker D: It's beautiful. [00:36:46] Speaker C: It looks beautiful. It looks amazing. Looks amazing. I know. Here's a super spiritual question for you. [00:36:51] Speaker D: Yes. [00:36:51] Speaker C: If you had a Go to fruit, what would it be? [00:36:55] Speaker B: Please. [00:36:56] Speaker A: It would be a honey crisp. [00:37:01] Speaker D: Yes. [00:37:03] Speaker A: Because I like just the apple seeds. Plant them. There it is. Apple seeds, everything. [00:37:10] Speaker C: I love it. I love it. [00:37:11] Speaker D: You're the Johnny Appleseed of our day. God bless you. [00:37:14] Speaker C: You are, sir. [00:37:14] Speaker A: You are. [00:37:15] Speaker C: Okay, last one. What do you want to be remembered for by those closest to you? [00:37:22] Speaker A: That my boldness inspired them and that I was never ashamed of the gospel. Jesus is my best friend. Why wouldn't I want to tell you about the most amazing buddy I've ever had in my life? [00:37:37] Speaker C: So simple. And I love it. I love it, Lauren. [00:37:41] Speaker D: Oh, good. [00:37:42] Speaker C: I. I was. I was. I was. I'll be honest. I was skeptical at the beginning of this podcast. I am more encouraged than I've ever been in my entire life. Yes. And not because of you, but because I just didn't know. Man, this is amazing. And your faith and you're stepping out. I love it. We're going to put a link for your. Your nonprofit in the bottom as well. And so, guys, please check it out. Lauren, thank you so much for being on today. Hang on. After the. Get the ball rolling. Dust off the. The. You know, just get the dust off. And, man, get moving for Jesus, because you gotta. We gotta catch up to me and you have to catch up to Lauren. [00:38:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:38:27] Speaker C: Really, our deal, we need to catch up. [00:38:29] Speaker D: We need to get on the same track as. Lord, I'm not even in the same.
